In her opening remarks, ECI Executive Director Mirian Vilela commended the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) for its long-term involvement and support, which predates the charter’s launch. The event was hosted by the Earth Charter International (ECI) and cosponsored by the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) among other organizations.
